Collaboration with Shelley Ware on 2019 Carlton Football Club Sir Douglas Nicholls Indigenous Round Guernsey

Mick was honoured to collaborate with Shelley Ware on her guernsey design
for the Carlton Football Club 2019 Sir Douglas Nicholls Indigenous Round.
Shelley Ware is a proud Yankunytjatjara and Wirangu woman from South Australia.

Mick created the shield section of the jumper design.

He also created a shield crafted from Australian Red Cedar and embellished it with the same design.  The shield was given as a gift to the St Kilda FC before the game.

and the Carlton Blues at Marvel Stadium on May 26, 2019

Here is Shelleys' story of the design:
The design entails the iconic navy blue with meaningful indigenous symbols which represents family, strength, protection and highlights the path each individual player has taken on their journey to Carlton.
