Small Wide Parrying Malgarr with Garorrk the Brolga Design.
Garorrk Biik Ngarrgi. Brolgas Dancing on Biik
Garorrk are found in grasslands and wetlands across country.
They pair for life and are known for their vibrant mating ritual dance.
Traditionally malgarr ( shields ) were used with liyangayil (fighting clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies.
I have replicated the shape of these shields in my artwork.
Hand crafted in Australia from Australian Red Cedar timber.

The card has information about the artist, artifact and design.
