Wall Malgarr Shield with BareBin Buk Turtle Design.
Traditionally malgarr ( shields ) were used with liyangayil
( fighting clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies.
I have replicated the shape ofthese shields in my artwork.
Barebin Buk the Long Necked Turtle lives in the still waters
of rivers and creeks. He is a good indicator of river health
Hand crafted in Australia from Australian Red Cedar timber.

The card has information about the artist, artefact and design.
All designs are based on traditional symbols from
South East Australia.
