Kilmore Football Netball Club Indigenous Round Womens' Guernsey and Netball Dress Design

Mick is always thrilled to create football jumper artwork, especially for teams on his Taungurung Biik (Country).
It's a special chance to share his culture with the community.
In 2024, Mick collaborated with Kilmore Football Netball Club on a design that captures the essence of Taungurung for their inaugural Indigenous round guernsey. The design showcasing Taungurung Creator Bunjil the Wedge Tailed Eagle and Protector -Waang the Crow.  The Mens Football Indigenous Round was played on 20th July 2024
The design was also used on the Seniors Womens Netball Dress, which was worn for their Indigenous Round match on 19th July 2024.

Story
Taungwurrung is one of the language groups of the Eastern Kulin Nation. Birds hold an important place in the creation stories of these groups.
The most important of the birds being Bundjil the Wedge Tailed Eagle - Our Creator, and Waang the Crow – Our Protector.
Bunjil and Waang are the totems of approximately 70 clans of the Eastern Kulin Nation.

KFNC has two Indigenous players listed within the club: Kye Maher, who plays Midfield for the Seniors football team, and Logan Scott, who plays Goal Defence for the Seniors netball team.
