Large Bunjil the Wedge Tailed Eagle Wangim / Boomerang.
Hand crafted in Australia by Ngarga Warendj from Red Gum.
Measures 600–700 mm.
In Kulin Nation creation stories, Bunjil the wedge tailed eagle shaped the Earth and all living things. After completing his work, Bunjil and his six companions were carried by Bellin Bellin the Musk Crow's winds to the sky, where they became stars. Each wangim is crafted from naturally bent timber sourced from tree roots and branches, honouring traditional methods. All designs draw from South East Australian cultural symbols. Includes an information card detailing the artist, artefact, and design story.
