Handcrafted from sustainably harvested Camphor Laurel, this medium paddle board marries function with cultural storytelling. Each piece showcases a unique natural wood grain and features an original Ngarga Warendj - Dancing Wombat design inspired by South Eastern Aboriginal art traditions.
The accompanying artist card shares the cultural narrative behind the work.
Measuring approximately 42 x 20 x 2.8 cm, it serves equally well as a serving board for cheese and charcuterie or flipped as a cutting surface, with the artwork side reserved for kitchen display.
Camphor Laurel's natural antibacterial properties and distinctive aroma make it an ideal food-contact material. As an introduced species, responsible harvesting supports native forest conservation across Australia.
