Medium Barring Tracks Design Wangim / Boomerang.
Hand Crafted in Australia by Ngarga Warendj from Australian Swamp Oak
Measures 450-550 mm
Barring (tracks) were used by our old people to travel between different tribal countries. They were also part of an intricate system of trade routes. Animals create their own tracks as well, which we follow to warrangwan (hunt) them.
All artefacts come with an information card.
The card has information about the artist, artefact and design.
All our wangim are made from timber collected from tree roots or branches
that have a natural bend.
All designs are based on traditional symbols from South East Australia
