Parrying Malgarr - Large Wide with Dhulin the Goanna Design. Traditionally malgarr ( shields ) were used with liyangayil (fighting clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies. I have replicated the shape of these shields in my artwork. Hand crafted in Australia from Australian Red Cedar timber. All artefacts come with an information card. Parrying Malgarr with Dhulin the Goanna Design.   

Traditionally malgarr ( shields ) were used with liyangayil
(fighting clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies. 
I have replicated the shape of these shields in my artwork.

Dhulin the Goanna is one of the six special men who helped
Bunjil the Wedge Tailed Eagle - our Creator - when he created the Earth.  
Bunjil taught all the special men how to look after his creations -
the mountains and the rivers, man, woman and all the animals.
He taught them how to make weapons, how to fight with them,
and how to behave with one another.
After Bunjil had finished, Bellin Bellin the Musk Crow blew Dhulin and
the other special men to the stars.
