Parrying Malgarr with Barring Design.

Traditionally malgarr ( shields ) were used with liyangayil
(fighting clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies.
I have replicated the shape of these shields in my artwork.

Barebin Buk the Long Necked Turtle is native to South East Australia.  They are often found in slow moving water, like the still waters of rivers and creeks such as the swamps or wetlands.
He is a good indicator of the health of the wetlands and rivers.  He is a spirit animal for many mobs.

Hand crafted in Australia from Australian Red Cedar timber.

All artefacts come with an information card.
The card has information aboutthe artist, artefact and design.
All designs are based on traditional symbols from
South East Australia.

Size: Small Wide PMSW

Measurements: 550mm L x 155mm W x 40mm Deep
Please note: Due to these items being handmade, these
measurements are approximate only.

to make for easy hanging on your wall.
