Traditional Parring Malgarr - Carved Chevron Design
Traditionally malgarr ( shields ) were used with liyangayil
(fighting clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies.
I have replicated the shape of these shields & also the in built handle -
as my Ancestors made.
Hand crafted in Australia from Blackwood timber. Design carved by hand.
All artefacts come with an information card.
The card has information about the artist, artefact and design.
All designs are based on traditional symbols from
South East Australia.
Measurements: 1004mm L x 110mm W x 90mm Deep
